Join me online for a virtual Peruvian experience!
We're headed to Peru, amigos! Consider yourself cordially invited to take a special online trip with me, where *the magic of video conferencing* will take us live to Peru. Throw on your aprons, because our local Lima host, Tito, will be teaching us how to make pisco sours and ceviche!
The Event: Online Lima Experience: Pisco Sour & Ceviche Class
Highlights:
- Learn about the distillation and history of pisco, the national drink of Peru.
- Get your mix on and learn to make the perfect pisco sour, like a true Peruvian local.
- Learn how to prepare delicious ceviche using secret recipes from a local Peruvian family, passed down over generations.
How We’ll Connect:
First, you'll need to RSVP.
This event will be occurring over Google Meet. I’ll be emailing the link by next Sunday, Oct. 3rd, to everyone who RSVP’s, along with an ingredients list for the pisco sours and ceviche (vegan options available!), so that you can make your own along with me and Tito.
This class is as interactive as you want it to be. Don’t feel like turning on your camera? No problem. Feel like you’d rather observe the cooking, or only feel like making one of the recipes? That’s just fine! Join at whatever level feels comfortable!
When it’s Happening: Thursday, October 7th, from 4pm - 5/5:30pm PST. (7pm - 8/8:30pm EST)
Cost to Attend: While you’ll have to supply your own ingredients for the ceviche and piscos, the cost of this virtual travel experience is free! This special event is being brought to us by our friends at Intrepid Travel, who operate tours all over the world -including in Peru, where Tito is an actual Intrepid Guide. By attending, you will be supporting a local tour guide unable to earn regular tourism income right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is a pretty cool thing for us to be able to do!
(Little shout out for one of the many reasons I like Intrepid -their motto used to be that they wanted to be “the best tour operators in the world,” but they changed it to be that they want to be “the best tour operators FOR the world.” I just love that.)
I am delighted to be able to invite you to this little weekday adventure, and I hope to see you Thursday!
